Missed the first round of Asian races this Formula 1 season? No worries: There's still a chance to get yourself a trackside seat when the circus heads back east this September, starting with the Singapore GP on September 20th to 22nd.
And if you're determined to attend this event this year, best buy your tickets within the early-bird promo, which ends next week on April 30. Singapore has 16 GP ticket options for 2013 (excluding the outrageously expensive--as in upwards of $6,000--Paddock Club and hospitality suites), and all these will also grant you access to end-of-day concerts headlined by such acts as The Killers.
William Herrera, vice president for operations of motorsport-tours specialist Red Rock Travel, shares what he thinks is the best deal to go for. "I would put my money on the Bay Combination ticket," he told TopGear.com.ph. "For SGD398 (P13,217), you can view Friday practice from the Turn 1 grandstand, Saturday qualifying from the Padang Grandstand, and the Sunday race from the Bay Grandstand. Plus, you get access to all the performances and activities in the corresponding zones for each day."
Red Rock Travel's early-bird base package for Singapore is priced at $1,151 (P47,329) per person, with a minimum of two people traveling at the same time. It includes four-day, three-night accommodations with daily breakfast at City Bayview Hotel (three-star); round-trip airfare via Singapore Airlines; three-day Bay Grandstand tickets; airport-hotel transfers; and travel insurance. Upgrading to the Bay Combination tickets recommended by Herrera costs an additional $107 (P4,400) per person.
If you're wondering how much money the early booking will save you, the aforementioned Bay Combination tickets will go for $498 (P16,538) apiece from May 1st onwards--a cool $100 difference. Sold? Visit Red Rock Travel's website for bookings and more information.
