It looks like Volkswagen Philippines is going to have quite a showing at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). The German carmaker has just announced its lineup for the event, highlighted by a pair of new arrivals and an accessorized version of a perennial enthusiast favorite.

Making a grand entrance into the local market are the all-new Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV and Crafter nine-seater van. The Tiguan, powered by a Euro-6 compliant 1.4-liter TSI engine capable of 148hp and 250Nm, is packed to the brim with safety features—including the company's electronic stabilization program. The Crafter, meanwhile, runs on a 2.0-liter TSD mill putting out 161hp and 400Nm. The van also boasts of admirable space, a high roofline and a handful of comfort offerings.

Volkswagen's 'ultimate sportsman,' the Golf GTI, will also be in attendance at MIAS 2017, albeit an accessorized version featuring 19-inch black/gloss, twin-spoke light alloy wheels. Another energetic entry is the Touareg Sport Edition which comes equipped with 20-inch Mallory alloy wheels and a front and rear under-run guard. The iconic Beetle will be fielding its Club Edition variant for the show, too, featuring a host of interior upgrades and hyper black alloy wheels.

The brand caps its MIAS 2017 display with a professional and practical vibe with the Caddy seven-seater MPV, Passat Business Edition, and Polo Club Edition. In addition to its vehicle lineup, Volkswagen Philippines will also be holding its Steps to Safety child safety initiative, which will teach kids the basics of road safety via virtual reality.

You can check out all of the aforementioned vehicles later this week at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. We're just as excited as you are.
