If you're still trying to decide whether to have your car wrapped in shiny or matte foil, you can stop right now. That's because foil wraps are so yesterday--or so Toyota seems to think.
The Japanese carmaker is displaying this denim-wrapped Corolla Fielder Hybrid at the ongoing 43rd Tokyo Motor Show, and it's quite a crowd-drawer. People do double takes when they walk past this car, and then walk back to touch the wrap material.
We have to say the quality of wrapping is top-notch, and the result looks much better than the faux Louis Vuitton wraps we occasionally see on the road. The stitching is fake but the rivets seem very realistic. Engraved in the rivets is "Corolla Hybrid Jeans."
Oh, and in case you're wondering: No, this car display isn't sponsored by Levi's. Toyota just loves trolling car-show visitors, we suspect.
It remains to be seen whether bored rich kids who have no idea how to spend their money, will do this on their RAV4s and Camrys. If they do, they will need to find an efficient way to wash the car.
