Kia introduces 24/7 emergency roadside assistance in PH

Kia, through its Philippine market distributor Columbian Autocar Corporation, is bringing customer assistance to the next level by introducing its 24/7 vehicle assistance service to Kia owners nationwide.

Kia's 24/7 Customer Assistance on Roadside Emergency (C.A.R.E) is a 24-hour vehicle support program exclusively for Kia customers that can be reached through 869-0-KIA. It offers services such a flat-tire change, emergency towing, battery jump-start, and fuel delivery service.

For emergency towing, Kia will tow the vehicle to the nearest authorized dealership as long as the vehicle is inoperable due to a warranty-related disablement. The fuel delivery assistance, meanwhile, allows customers to request for Kia to deliver gas, with the cost of gasoline being shouldered by the customer. In addition, minor on-site repairs such as battery boosting and tire replacement can be availed of.

The Kia C.A.R.E. team can also extend hotel accommodation or travel assistance to Kia customers who are unable to continue their journey due to the immobilization of their Kia vehicle. In the event that a Kia vehicle breaks down and the repair time is longer than 48 hours as diagnosed by a Kia authorized service workshop, a customer can choose his or her alternate means of transport.

At the request of the customer, Kia C.A.R.E team can also convey urgent messages related to the vehicle's breakdown. The program can also help the customer to coordinate with the necessary authorities for additional assistance. If a customer and/or passengers are involved in an accident while using their Kia vehicle, the Kia C.A.R.E team will arrange for ambulance assistance, transportation and admission to the nearest hospital with the appropriate facilities.

According to Kia, all these services will be incorporated with the car's five-year/160,000km vehicle warranty. Good move, Kia. We think all car brands should offer this customer-care program.

Out of topic: Bat mura ang resale value ng mga korean cars?. Just wanna know. Cause I'm thinking na mura ang resale value baka kase pangit yung engine nila pero as I can see Hyundai and Kia has nice engines and performance.

Depende kasi sa brand yung resale value. Either exclusive, kilalang brand, mahaba yung depreciation timeline. AFAIK ganyan yun eh. So yung mga Merc, mas mataas ang resale value sa Renault. Yung Alfa Romeo, mas mababa resale value sa Honda.

Well perhaps its the reliability of the brand. Its really difficult to part with money when the product your buying is not reliable. Toyota has encountered a lot of problems from recalls to disasters but have managed to bounce back. Now thats good corporate planning. KIA on the other hand was only salvaged by Hyundai all due to its corporate mismanagement. But Korean cars are nice but not reliable, this is also based on top gears evaluation and test drive of their vehicles.
Korean cars are inching its way to the top, but for now i will stick with brands with solid corporate background.

The best thing about Korean cars, is their warranty. Sana gawin na din ng mga Japanese brand 'to sa Pinas. Sa ibang bansa kasi 5 years na din ang Toyota. tsk.

yes this is nothing new. a lot of dealers have been offering much the same program or better particularly incorporated through their vehicle insurance. carriers are the likes of EA Assist and Ibero Assistencia. certain big companies like the big telecoms and pharma have it incorporated in their fleet coverage. good if kia will shoulder the cost but i doubt it. they probably offset it with something, like insurance comm or out of the sales comm.
