Kia reveals all-new Forte sedan

New Kia Forte

Kia has finally revealed what the all-new Forte (called K3 in South Korea) looks like, and according to the Korean carmaker, the new compact sedan is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor.

The new Forte uses an all-new bodyshell structure that gives it its sleek profile, while LED front and rear lamps and a chrome-finished beltline enhance its look.

According to Kia, the all-new Forte will also boast improved quality, upgraded equipment, a more spacious cabin (thanks to its longer wheelbase), and a revised engine lineup that delivers class-leading fuel economy.

After going on sale in Korea later this year as the K3, the Forte sedan will appear at Kia dealerships in overseas markets in the first quarter of 2013, with the five-door hatchback and two-door coupe variants following later next year.

    hmm.. it looks okay but the front is dashed with abit bmw 3 series and the rear doesn't look appealing in the photo, pero just judging it with the pics, lets wait for the metal to arrive here

      actually the rear looks very Focus-ish but I really don't know I dig this car. Simple design yet stunning and it is not overly designed unlike it's sibling the Elantra, more masculine stance and less feminine feel.

    Looking good! Although the angle of the rear photo looks a bit awkward.. but like I said, maybe it's just the angle of the photo. Can't wait to see the real thing:)

        TAMA! The Forte is a LOT prettier! Mas timeless ang design ng Kia kaysa sa ibang designs ng Hyundai, SPECIFICALLY, Elantra at Tucson! Pustahan, after mga 10 years hindi na uso ung design ng Tucson at Elantra!

            Tapos hindi na rin uso ang Kia, hehe. Tingnan ntin pagdating dito kung tatalunin ang Hyundai, because we know how Kia priced their cars. Anyway Kia and Hyundai were sister companies.

      kaya nga they released the Elantra & Accent first before the Forte and Rio kasi mas masculine ang design ng Kia. Elantra & Accent is for everyday use cars while the cousins are for night life use cars.LOL

      i think the korean car makers are doing the reverse of japanese car makers strategy. Japanese build their cars from good to bad and koreans build their cars from bad to good. I think whichever the the buyer chooses from the two (elantra and forte) hyundai will still take the benefit since they own Kia

    If they price it similar to the Elantra this will be a winner. Palpak pricing nila sa current Forte kaya nilangaw. I hope they learned their lesson.

        They should have priced it like that from the start. Too late...Although the Koup is very tempting.. Maganda parin porma... and a 2.0L coupe for less than 1M..hmmm...

      haha palpak talaga pricing nila pag release ng forte. nagprice ng 1M to think na hindi pa maganda ang reputation ng kia sa pilipinas. kaya ngayon binabaan na nila pero hindi na type ng mga tao eh.. hopefully yung new forte bumenta na gaya ng rio ngayon. :)

        Yep, it's a bad deicsion, a bit naive for them, anyway the new Forte priced just like the Elantra will be a very good deal and good value for your money.

        Actually, marami nang kumuha ng Forte Koup at Sedan noong AutoFest sa Festival mall kaya maraming tao that day sa puwesto ng Kia dahil sa Forte Koup...

        Actually in other parts of the world Lancer is already dying. Mitsubishi is in the bottom of the pit, sorry for the Mitsubishi fan boys but Mitsubishi out of the game in global market, If they can replace and produce units then they might recover.

    Sigurado Mahal nanaman ito. KIA hindi puedeng kapareho niyo presyo toyota at honda dahil maganda talaga gawa nila. Hirap naman eh presyong ayaw ibenta.

      Yes I agree, the last Kia Forte is very expensive. I hope they price it very well unlike the Mazda3 which has the good looks and specs but the price is... never mind. :)

    DANG!! That is a looker! Forte > Elantra! Really a better design! It is a LOT more timeless and will age well compared to the too fluidic looking Tucson and Elantra!

      The new Forte is a macho version of the sexy Elantra. This will age better than the Elantra, but the Elantra will age better than it's 90's car looking Japanese rivals.

        Pero compared to the Tucson vs. Elantra, mas mag-aage well naman ung design ng Tucson! Very European (which is no doubt since it was designed partly at Germany), tska may ruggedness cia sa kanyang form. Ung Elantra is pure swoopy lines all over. :))
