Mazda reveals face of new 6 sedan

Mazda has finally revealed the face of the all-new 6 a month before the car is to make its first public appearance at the Moscow Motor Show on August 29.

The all-new Mazda 6 is the second of the Japanese carmaker's new generation of products that incorporate both its Skyactiv technologies and 'Kodo' design language.

It will also be the first model to be equipped with Mazda's i-ELOOP brake energy-regeneration system. Derived from the term "Intelligent Energy Loop," the i-ELOOP system is the world's first capacitor-based regenerative braking system, which, according to Mazda, can improve the car's fuel economy by up to 10 percent in real-world driving conditions.

Mazda added that the all-new 6 midsize sedan that will be on display at the Moscow Motor Show from August 29 to September 9 will be a Russian-specification model equipped with a direct-injection Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine and a six-speed Skyactiv-Drive automatic transmission.

The complete lineup of the Mazda 6 will reportedly be revealed in September at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

    Mazda's cars lately look so good! CX-5 looks so good (FYI, hindi kasama ang BT-50 sa adjective na yan), and this Mazda 6 no doubt will look good! Isipin nio nalang Takeri concept yan! =))

    Mazda vehicle are lookers but their pricing is a big turn-off. Mazda must come to reality to be able to sell units in the Philippines. Features and value for money, new Mazda 3 and BT-50, are light years behind from the new Focus and Ranger. I hope this Mazda 6 will be competitively priced this time around.

      I think, the pricing is just out of the hand of Mazda. If Mazda would price it the Mazda way, they would definitely eat Ford in some segments (considering that Ford-Mazda doesn't bring new vehicles here). Just what I think. But this may be not the case.

      I highly agree, unlike CX-5 with Skyactiv... I hope this one which has Skyactiv will be priced competitively if they really want to sell it out like pancakes

    That trademark chrome lining extending to the headlights is really stunning and a brilliant design for Mazda. I can see here that fenders are very muscular! Yumyumyum, can't wait for Mazda PH to disband from Ford PH.

    Sana kumalas na Mazda sa Ford kung gusto ng Mazda gumanda pricing ng vehicles nila so it will sell like pancakes here. Just look at Toyota-Lexus-Subaru partnership. They're owning the segments. or Mzda can just go solo like Honda, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, etc. Sayang ang ganda ng specs ng Mazda kung di nabebenta. :)

    Puro teaser tapos after 3 years pa pala bago mai-release dito sa atin. Next teaser naman yung pang-ilalim. Tapos ng ilang linggo yung interior naman and so on and so forth.

    sana naman competitive ang price nito. wala naman mid-size sedan ang FGP eh. di na magagaya sa mazda 3 at bt-50 masyadong mahal compared sa focus and ranger. hehehe :)

      that's Takeri, not Mazda6, it was just the concept model of Mazda6.

    No complaints please about the pricing of Mazda cars. The quality is very good. We get what we pay for.The look of these cars alone are indeed expensive. Just look at the designs--beautiful! And the interiors--pleasing to the eyes. Mazda has got class. Unfortunately, the budget conscious go to other brands that are cheaper--in the price and looks.

      Agreed sir, of course many Filipino car buyers will settle for something "less" sasabihin na lang nila ok na yan basta may nasasakyan o kaya OK na yan kesa wala, pero kung titignan mong mabuti eh yung quality ng Mazda ay superb kumpara sa iba. Kaya sa pricing I believe Mazda is in the right price range with its quality.

      Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra and Ford Focus are even techier than Mazda3, and besides, Mazda3 is a three year old car, and they expect to sell with that kind of price? I don't think so. I am fond of Mazda but since they put that price on oldy Mazda3 and that *gly BT-50, they should not expect to be sold like pancakes. They did a competitive price with the CX-5, especiially with it having a Skyactiv engine, then why not do it with Mazda3 and BT-50?
