Mazda Philippines has set the stage for the launch of the new Mazda 6 in the local market.

The new Mazda 6 will be unveiled at the Mazda Philippines booth--the biggest display space at the 2010 Manila International Auto Show.

Mazda Philippines promises a sportier and more dynamic-looking Mazda 6, with enhanced safety and environmental compatibility features.

"The Mazda 6 exudes all the sportiness expected of a Mazda model coupled with an even stronger premium identity," said Steven Tan, Mazda Philippines vice president for sales and marketing. "It truly is a Zoom Zoom car and no better choice for customers who value individuality and style."

The new Mazda 6 bears Mazda's new family identity--yes, that front face that seems to be smiling--while keeping the executive sedan's athletic appeal.

It is powered by a 2.5-liter gasoline found in the pre-facelift Mazda 6 (click this link to read a review on the Mazda 6 currently sold in the Philippines). The Mazda 6's MZR 2.5 inline-four DOHC 16-valve engine produces a maximum output of 169hp and maximum torque of 228Nm.

The new Mazda 6 comes in Sunlight Silver Metallic, Black Mica, Crystal While Pearl Mica and the new Clear Water Blue Metallic.

The new Mazda 6 will be on display at the MIAS along with the rest of the Mazda lineup available in the Philippines from April 15 to 18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

  that's a good looking car, Its looks like a sporty executive sedan, something I dont really see anyone else offering. The camry's too common nowadays, it doesn't feel like a stand out car anymore. Getting a camry's like saying I couldn't afford a benz or bimmer so I got this toyota

  Looks bland, maybe it's just the color. But I have to agree, I'd take this over the Camry. You'd much rather be seating at the driver's seat than at the back.

  I saw and driven this car! This comes with a bose sound system!!! with subwoofer, push start button. a friend that works at mazda let me drive one. Red amber interior light, sunroof, auto sit adjustment for driver and passenger. It's a shame it only comes in an automatic transmission.

  oo nga bland nga sya pero kung gusto mo ng exclusivity go for this one. JMM tingin ko di nila dadalin yung 3.8L dahil mahina din naman yung sales ng 240M. di insult ito ah. naiisip ko lang ito.

  @BOOGIECAT, pwede naman silang maglabas nung ganun engine. Hindi naman laging magkakapareho yung specs ng kotse dito at sa ibang market. Bakit sa Thailand, yung D-Max nila may VGT? Dito wala? Yung Grand Starex sa Korea may Sunroof dito wala? Dun din naman ginawa yun ah. Oo nga parang mas stylish pa yung Accord/Camry.

  @hhhhmmmm S.E na ang tawag hindi na 240M. sana dalhin ang 3.8L V6 un din kasi ang makina ng galant sa japan. un din ang makina ng eclipse. kung magkakaroon ng 3.8L V^ variant ang galant, me chance na manalo ang galant over camry's 3.5L V6 and accord's 3.5L V6. @Boogiecat, dalawa ang makina ng galant, 2.4L MIVEC dohc, 3.8L V6 MIVEC sohc. ang 3.8L V6 sa america at japan lng pero me 2.4L variant din doon. sa ibang bansa, 2.4L variants lng ang pinapadala kasama na bansa natin. un na lng ang kulang ng galant. me sunroof na, me reverse sensor na, 3.8L V6 na lng. if i remember wlang sunroof ang camry. am i right? correct me if i'm wrong.

  i own 2 mazdas 2008 mazda cx-9 and 20009 mazda6. let me tell you, once you get this vehicles you just cant get enough of it.zoom-zoom forever

  there's no problem whether it's a FWD.i live in alaska and here we practically have snow 6 months a year. i got no problems with my mazda6 and cx-9 very reliable machine even in -10c weather.black ice where the road is like a ice skating ring.and the advantage of this is that it has a blind spot monitor system with push button start and it automatically shifts from 4 wheel drive to 2 wheel on the cx-9.wouldnt trade it to the performance of an audi a4

  the only thing restraining me from buying mazda is their automatic trans. come on mazda let us have a manual version. i really dont like automatic trans.
