Mini to expand stable with Countryman crossover vehicle

Mini joins the "crossover" bandwagon as it prepares to launch the all-new Mini Countryman that fills "the gap between the classic concept of the MINI and a modern Sports Activity Vehicle."
The Mini Countryman boasts of many firsts for the brand as it is the first Mini to come with a higher ground clearance, four doors, and an all-wheel drive option.
Other notable features of the Mini Countryman include the larger grille, bigger engine-lid integrated headlights, and the backseat area that can either be occupied by two additional bucket seats or the more traditional three-abreast bench seat.
The Mini Countryman retains features that are characteristically Mini like the short overhangs, high belt line, and powerful stance on the wheels.
British United Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Mini in the Philippines, has yet to announce if the Mini Countryman will be sold in the local market after its global launch within the year.
