Mitsubishi Motors PH expects to sell a lot of Mirage units

Mitsubishi Mirage

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will launch the Mirage small hatchback either late October or early November, according to MMPC marketing services vice president Froilan Dytianquin. The Mirage is a bit tricky to categorize since it is bigger than typical micro cars like the Hyundai Eon but smaller than subcompact ones like the Honda Jazz.

Nevertheless, MMPC expects to sell a lot of units at launch. "We're projecting 500 to 600 units a month," Dytianquin told TopGear.com.ph during the media drive of the Mirage at Bira Circuit in Pattaya, Thailand.

The Mirage will be available in two trims, the base GLX and the premium GLS. MMPC will bring in four variants of the Mirage: GLX 5MT, GLX CVT, GLS 5MT and GLS CVT. While the pricing isn't final yet, Dytianquin revealed that it will range from around P480,000 for the lowest variant to P620,000 for the range-topper.

Do you think the Mirage will sell like hotcakes in the Philippines? Take our poll.

Sa sobrang tipid sa gas nito, Sa tingin ko,

400 orders = white color (Taxi)
200 orders = other color (private)

    :) hehe

Depends on how the market "sees" the Mirage, is it A-segment or a cheap B-segment player? The bulk of sales today is B-segment. So if accepted as B-segment and with its price starting at 480 - 620K. It is possible to be top player in that segment.

Next ang Picanto then i10. Yung Spark kasi sobrang tapang ng mukha hindi na cute for a mini subcompact.
