You really can't tell what's going to fall on you if you're outside in Metro Manila--an SUV from the Skyway, an uprooted tree in a village, or a midsize sedan in a shopping district.
Today, a car drove through the flimsy wall and plunged from the third level of the parking facility fronting Virra Mall in Greenhills, landing on two vehicles parked on the ground.
Based on numerous reports posted on social media sites, the driver of a white Mitsubishi Galant suffered a heart attack while driving inside the parking facility. In the process, the driver struck eight cars in the building before he crashed into one of the facility's walls. Unfortunately, the wall wasn't strong enough to halt the vehicle's momentum, sending him and his car out of the building and onto a Nissan Urvan and a Toyota Fortuner parked outside two levels below on Eisenhower Street.
Fortunately for the stricken driver, firefighters assigned to a fire station located just a stone's throw away from the scene of the accident were able to respond immediately and rushed him to the nearby Cardinal Santos Medical Center.
According to GMANetwork.com, the driver was identified as 73-year-old Juanito Nocus.
