For motorists from the east side of Metro Manila, Ortigas Extension represents all that's wrong with our traffic management system. It's narrow, littered with idle jeepneys, and squeezes all the traffic from Rizal into one tiny space. It's pretty much rough seas from Junction onward. Good luck finding an alternative route that won't add an extra hour to your drive or commute, too.

On a bad day, a crawl to Ortigas Center along that road could easily exceed two hours. Cue the sad and/or angry Facebook posts. Luckily for east siders, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has announced something that could go a long way to improving this torturous commute.

The Antipolo City government will be doing a dry run of the new point-to-point (P2P) bus from Robinsons Place, Antipolo to Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City on October 14 and 15. Operation will be from 5am to 9pm on a first come, first serve basis. No more riding in jeepneys that stop every few meters!

Hopefully the P2P dry run nets some good results before the real thing is put in place. East residents, are you guys gonna try this out?
