Electric post accident in San Juan

If you think plummeting vehicles from the Skyway or barreling buses on EDSA are the only road hazards we need to worry about when driving around Metro Manila, you need to update your list. Today, a concrete electric post toppled over in San Juan--along Pinaglabanan, between Atty. A. Mendoza and N. Domingo, according to our photo-sender--pinning a Honda City (AAY-9930) and also entangling a Mitsubishi Mirage G4 (ASA-1052) with its thick cables.

Our witness said the photos were taken at 1:45pm this afternoon, although he didn't mention whether anyone was injured.

Well, wow. Is this another result of substandard infrastructure? Based on the pictures, it doesn't look like a vehicle had crashed into the post to cause it to tip over. "It just fell," shared the photo-sender. "Probably an old post carrying too much weight. Check out the cables."

Congratulations, our dear government officials. Have fun playing with our lives.
