Nissan teases all-new 2013 Sentra

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Nissan teasess all-new Sentra

Nissan has just released a teaser video for its all-new Sentra compact sedan, and judging from the details that can be seen in the close-up shots--not to mention a look at its front fascia--the car is actually a rebadged Sylphy that the Japanese carmaker unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show less than a month ago.

Too bad the video didn't give us a peek of the Sentra's interior, but if it's going to be the same as the Sylphy's, then the battle for supremacy in the compact sedan category has a new--and worthy--contender.

We can only wish that Nissan Motor Philippines would bring this in soon to replace the current-generation model.

        Yes. Yun lang yung LHD na bagong Sentra na kayang kunin ng NMPI. Wala kasing mas bagong model para sa ASEAN na LHD, puro yung Sunny/Sentra lang natin.

        Those things are rare! Since they were released, dalawa pa lang yata nakikita tong tumatakbo!

        I think Nissan is targeting the more luxo-minded buyer with this one. Puro kasi "sporty" yung sikat ngayon, so they're probably aiming this at people who don't want a sporty, compact runabout

      UMC ang bahala dyan..Mas busy pa sila kakalabas ng Tech ek-ek versions ng Urvan at Navara..Yung Pathfinder eh next year pa yan malamang.

    Nissan nga ang nag umpisa ng luxury sedan sa kanilang sentra Exalta nun tapos biglang nawala, Altis, Lancer and Civic dominated, sana nga eh magbalik ang Sentra na maganda. hehe

    Looks (Sylphy) is better than the current model. Another contender in compact car market.

    I have seen the photos of it in Google, it looks like its the size of the Altis or Lancer EX, the interior looks modern yet I think the transmission is the same with the current generation. The front fascia looks like the Camry though. See for yourself

    Never thought I'd say this, but based on looks alone, I'd rather get this than the new Civic. (Last time I said something like this was in the early 90's, when I said I'd rather get the Sentra than the Corolla at that time).

    The current Sentra is sooo *gly, it look like a mini subcompact, rather than to compete in the compact sedan class... this 2013 Sentra looks so much better and can really compete with the Elantra, Altis, Mazda3 and the Civic... can't wait to see it soon here! :)))

    I hope that 2013 Sentra will still be assembled at Santa Rosa to bring prices down & to be competitive with the Civic, Lancer, Cruze, Altis, & Elantra.

    one key component for its sucess is an excellent marketing and ads campaign! oh amn i missed my sentra....
