Over 1,000 cars sign up for world's largest parade of Ferraris

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Over 1,000 vehicles sign up for world's largest parade of Ferrari cars

Over 1,000 Ferraris have registered to take part in the Guinness World Record attempt  for the "Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars," which will coincide with Ferrari Racing Days, a two-day event set for September 15-16 at the Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom.

The event's organizer, Ferrari North Europe, previously set the record with 490 cars at the 2007 staging of Ferrari Racing Days, also at the Silverstone Circuit. When Ferrari North Europe announced that it was planning to break the record for the 2012 edition of the event, over 600 cars registered in the first month alone. The registration to take part in the record-breaking event is still open as Ferrari North Europe is confident that the recently redeveloped Formula 1 track can accommodate more than 1,000 cars.

To show its support for the event, Ferrari has revealed that, for every car entered into the world-record attempt, it will donate £5 (over P320) to the automotive industry charity group BEN.
