With a return to Formula 1 now looking like a faraway dream after being out of the sport for three seasons, Robert Kubica is now stepping up to the World Rally Championship in a Citroen DS3 RRC for the final round of the 2013 season at the Wales Rally Great Britain in November.
Currently leading the World Rally Championship 2 series with four wins from the six rallies he competed in this season, Kubica's scheduled run in the WRC caps his successful return to motor racing following his accident in 2011, which partially severed his right forearm.
"This one-off outing for Citroen Racing is a great opportunity for me, but it's also a huge challenge," said Kubica. "Wales Rally GB wasn't part of my original program, so I'm very happy to be able to have this precious experience."
Here's hoping Robert does well in this race.
