Stripped Toyota GT 86 to be made available in Japan - report

To the delight of purists or those who like to do everything from scratch, Toyota will reportedly be selling a stripped-down variant of the 86. The only catch is that it will be sold only in Japan.
According to PistonHeads.com, the stripped-down 86 will not just lack features like cupholders, front foglights or sound systems, it won't even get an intake manifold cover or even a trunk lamp.
Some of the exterior bits won't get painted and will be left bare like the door mirrors, handles, even the front and rear bumpers.
The biggest omissions, however, are the alloy wheels and the limited slip differential. Instead, the stripped-down 86 will ride on 16-inch steel wheels shod with 205/55 rubber.
All in all, the barebones 86 is said to weigh only 1,190kg, a difference of 40kg over the GT Limited's 1,230kg.
