Suzuki Philippines launches more powerful Alto K10

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Suzuki Philippines launches more powerful Alto K10

Suzuki Philippines has rolled out the Suzuki Alto K10, another version of one of its most popular and fastest-selling vehicles.

Powering the updated Alto is a more powerful 1.0-liter K10B engine, which replaces the 0.8-liter F8D engine of the pre-facelift model. The Alto K10 is also packed with an improved suspension, new cable type five-speed transmission, super brake system, front power windows, power door locks, AM/FM/CD radio and more knee room for rear seat passengers.

"The first model of the Suzuki Alto, which we introduced in 2007 is still one of our most popular cars primarily because of its fuel efficiency and unparalleled value for money. Globally, we have sold more than 10 million units of the product and in the Philippines, it remains to be the fleet car of choice for many corporations," said Arvie Fugoso, Suzuki Philippines' assistant marketing manager for automobile sales and marketing. "We are optimistic that with the introduction of this latest model, we will be strengthening our presence in the first-time-owner markets--be it the small families, the students and the young professionals."

The Suzuki Alto K10 is available in silver, orange and red, and retails at P493,000.

Is it imported from India? Remember, there was a strike going on to the Maruti Suzuki plants.

498k?! too much price hike suzuki! If I were in the market for small cars I'd rather get the newer celerio than this

What the heck is a "super brake system"? What are the numbers (HP, torque, mileage, legroom, headroom) on this baby? :-)
  • Fernando Amorsolo Nov 03 2011 @ 06:36pm
    Celerio please.
  • mts Nov 03 2011 @ 06:48pm
Celerio is also an Alto. And the price of Celerio here is 5 k same engine. I'd rather get the base Vios with that amount. For me, the base Alto is worth it (with price 369k). :)

improved suspension? perfect! new cable type five-speed transmission? er, what does it do? super brake system? an improvement to a better halt? Cool. front power windows and power door locks? Alto deluxe has already this but, nice. AM/FM/CD radio? So, what's new? and more knee room for rear seat passengers? Superb. :) Overall comment: IF this is priced @ 439K, I think it will sell well. More power.
