Team Land Rover Philippines received two awards after ten grueling days of serious off-roading in the 2009 Rainforest Challenge in Malaysia.

The group led by driver Larry Mendiola and navigator Sergio Jamila III was cited as the "most upcoming" team after completing both the China and Malaysia RFCs in the same year.

The Philippines was also recognized with Mendiola's achievement of being the first runner-up in the Class D category of the rainforest challenge.

Overall results from the Rainforest Challenge website showed Team Land Rover Philippines finished on eighth place.

Team Land Rover Philippines also bagged two awards in September when the group competed in the 2009 China-Sanya International 4x4 Challenge.
