Top Gear Philippines launches Formula 1 guessing game

Top Gear Philippines Online Grand Prix

TopGear.com.ph has launched its online guessing game for the 2012 Formula 1 season. Called the Top Gear Philippines Online Grand Prix (go to the game page here), the game challenges F1 fans to guess the top three finishers in each of the 20 races lined up for this season. It will run from March 15 to November 24, 2012, coinciding with the race calendar of the 2012 Formula 1 World Championship.

During each Formula 1 race weekend, participants need to guess the top three finishers. They will choose from the 24 official drivers from the 12 official teams. The game opens every Thursday of each race weekend and closes five hours after the start of each qualifying session. For a comprehensive list of the game schedule, go to the game page and check out the mechanics.

To join, a contestant must first register on the game page, and provide his/her real name, age, address, telephone number and e-mail address.

If a participant gets one correct answer, he/she gets 3 points. If a participant gets two correct answers, he/she gets 7 points. And if a participant gets all three correct answers, he/she gets the maximum 15 points.

Every point earned throughout the 20-race Formula 1 calendar will be added to determine the overall champion at the end of the season. The top scorer at season’s end will be declared the 2012 Top Gear Philippines Online Grand Prix champion. Technically speaking, a participant may score a maximum total of 300 points throughout the season. In case of a tie, the participant who was leading earliest in the season will be declared the champion.

Since the results from each race are cumulative, anyone may join the game at whatever point of the Formula 1 calendar.

We encourage participants to check out TopGear.com.ph regularly to ensure that they won’t miss any round of the game. The game officially starts this weekend in time for the season-opening 2012 Australian Grand Prix.

What are you waiting for? Pit your guessing skills against those of your fellow Formula 1 fans. Play the Top Gear Philippines Online Grand Prix now!

I have selected Michael Schumacher as 1st place winner. He had a consistent driving experience in the past 2 practice days.

Suggestion here, dapat eh stop na ang voting/ guessing pag qualifying na. Kasi yung qualifying result could also be the race result.

@robin_micmac - It has to be in order (1st, 2nd and 3rd). Anyway, the answer fields already have an order. You just need to select your choices.
