Toyota Philippines to launch face-lifted Innova in February

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Toyota Philippines to launch updated Innova this February

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Six months after Toyota Motor Philippines updated the look of the current-generation Hilux and Fortuner, the Japanese carmaker is completing the face-lift of its Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle (IMV) line by launching the updated Innova next month.

Because our source has yet to give us more information on the refreshed Innova--like specs and prices (or even just a photo)--we've referred to the websites of Toyota's Asia Pacific network and found the photo that you see here, which came from Toyota's Indonesian subsidiary. We also checked Toyota’s Malaysia and Thailand subsidiaries, and it certainly looks like this will indeed be how the Philippine-market Innova will look as well.

Other than the new face, which gives the Innova a stronger, edgier look, the only details we gathered from the site that are new to the updated vehicle are the steering wheel with integrated remote switches for the sound system, a 2-DIN six-inch touch-screen media system, a rear roof monitor, corner sensors, front personal lamp and sunglass holder, interior wood paneling, and gauges.

What do you think of the refreshed Innova? Share and post your thoughts in the comment box below.

yes, and it was the same vehicle that the Customs' PORSCHE was trying hard to CHASE as seen in the SKYWAY's cam.

I like the old look better..useless if the old D4D workhorse is still the same..we want more HP!
    wake up toyota!
    • nielclark Feb 01 2012 @ 09:04pm
It is just an MPV. The engine power that it already has is more than enough for the kind of work it needs to do.

    winner.
  • ying Jan 30 2012 @ 08:11pm
Well it looks the same but with better interior design. Hope they really price it right because the 2011 prices are expensive with less accessories.
  • Fernando Amorsolo Jan 30 2012 @ 09:32pm
I think there is already an aftermarket grille for innova that looks like this. Sweeping headlights, new grilles, new interior, old engine -- Just fine. Toyota can do better than this.

i'm sure mas mahal ito kesa sa old variants. how much naman kaya ang itinaas sa price? i will buy G diesel M/T or A/T black mica or white pearl. any comments?

    pede ndn.. :O :))
  • fortis Jan 31 2012 @ 09:55am
This could be the final facelift of this body style. I clearly remember that the old Toyota Revo also received the same treatment and had 2 facelifts before replacing it with the Innova.
  • 16c galibier Jan 31 2012 @ 08:39pm
It's still the same the only difference is the front side.
  • nielclark Feb 01 2012 @ 08:59pm
Just told in TV news, a white INNOVA was CHASED by PORSCHE. The Innova, driven by a 20 year old male, with the car's body having two bullet holes shot from the Porsche. The Porsche, driven by a customs official/secretary. In the SKYWAY CAM, the PORSCHE was CHASING the INNOVA. So there you have it, if you want escape with your life while being shot at by a germany made supercar, just use a Toyota Innova.
If you do not believe this, just check on news on the major tv networks. They will show this again later at around midnight and the through the following days.
    • Kyoichi Sudo Feb 02 2012 @ 07:03pm
dude, the Innova just got lucky because of Marriott(correct my spelling if i'm wrong)Hotel's Security.
  • enzofroilan Feb 03 2012 @ 12:31pm
toyota: BS Facelift... can't even manage to upgrade the engine? and oh, the G D-4D automatic is a gas guzzler. paltry at 8km/L on combined. a santa fe could do better.
  • neutral Feb 03 2012 @ 01:30pm
Why not put the 144 hp for the 2.5 d4d in the innova, fortuner and hilux and not just pure facelifts. In other asean countries, they already have these upgrades not just a mere facelift. Also, 2.7 for the innova gas and 4.0 V6 for the fortuner & hilux for the customers to have more trim to choose. As for the 4.0 V6 fortuner or hilux, the price must be cheaper than the 3.0 d4d just like the case of LC Prado(d4d vs. 4.0 v6 gas).

  • lord_cykb24 Feb 16 2012 @ 11:34am
    i don't like Toyota's vehicles ( except for the LC's )......!!! I'm a big fan of a 3 diamonds...
