The first-generation Volkswagen Scirocco was launched in 1974. Thirty-nine years later and the nameplate has now broken the one-million-unit production barrier. To mark the milestone, the German carmaker has introduced a special-edition version of the Scirocco.
Known as the Scirocco Million, the car is painted exclusively in Deep Black Metallic with a number of distinctive styling features, including R-Line bumpers, R-Line side sills, smoked taillights, 'Million' stickers on the wings, and dark tinted rear windows.
Inside, the special model features black leather upholstery with orange contrasting stitching, as well as other orange highlights, plus 'Million' decals on the door sills.
While Volkswagen is expected to formally return to the Philippine market this year, don't hold your breath and hope that they bring the Scirocco Million in since this car will only be offered exclusively in Germany and China.
Production of this special-edition Scirocco is slated to start later this month.
