Win a Focus with Ford Group PH's 'Start It. Share It. Win It' campaign

TopGear.com.ph Philippine Car News - Win an all-new Ford Focus with Ford PH's ‘Start it. Share it. Win it’ campaign

Ford Group Philippines may have just launched the all-new Focus compact hatchback and sedan last week, yet the American carmaker is already giving away one unit as part of its 'Start It. Share It. Win It' marketing campaign.

This campaign was designed to engage people into experiencing how two of the all-new Focus's smart-technology features actually work.

To be staged in seven venues throughout the weekends between August 3 and September 16, participants will be asked to 'Start It. Share It. Win It' by starting the all-new Focus, experiencing the smart technologies, and sharing it with Facebook and Twitter friends to become eligible to win the car.

The 'Start It' part will have the participants experiencing the all-new Focus's active park assist (where the car parallel-parks itself with just the push of a button) and active city stop (which prevents low-speed, front-end collisions by braking the car automatically if the sensors detect a stationary car in front) features.

For the 'Share It' segment, each of the participants will be filmed in real time during their 'demo run' to capture their reactions. On the Monday following the weekend event, the participants' videos will be uploaded simultaneously, with each participant receiving a link to their own video that they can share with friends on their social networks. The most popular videos will then be determined based on the most number of unique views, entertainment value, and the participants' creative response to their favorite smart feature. In the end, the 10 most popular videos will be selected as finalists, their owners receiving a third-generation 16GB Apple iPad each.

To 'Win It,' a voting period will be open for the 10 finalist videos from October 8 to 18, with people logging in their vote through the Ford Focus Facebook page. The most popular video at the end of the voting period will take home a brand-new 2.0-liter Ford Focus Titanium sedan.

"The class-leading technologies and innovations of the all-new Focus will be showcased through the 'Start It. Share It. Win It' campaign," said Ford Group Philippines assistant vice president for marketing Prudz Castillo. "Participants will see exactly how the vehicle puts the fun, comfort and excitement back into driving, and understand why we are so confident that our customers in the Philippines will love this technology-packed vehicle.”

Go to the Ford Focus Facebook page to register and to find out the date, the time and the venue nearest you.

what's with the cars today? auto park, auto brake, stability control, tiptronics. nawawala na ang joys of driving kasi puro computer nalang nagmamaneho. meron pa bang mga new drivers ngayon na marunong mag drive ng manual transmission? to those who learned how to drive using a manual transmission vehicle, i salute you! diba ang sarap ng feeling nung natuto ka nang tumimpla ng gasolinador at clutch? yung di na nag jerk or namamatay ang makina pag 1st gear. ang saya ng feeling diba?

Masaya siya. Pero given the driving environment here in Manila, minsan talaga mas gugustuhin mo na automatic na halos lahat:)) Don't get me wrong, I drive, I love, and I salute Manual transmission!

No doubt about the point of the real pleasure of Driving with all your controls on it. But, TIMES pass and dev't happen and occur for a cause. This technology comes for a cause. It might not be appealing to some, but definitely it will benefit the most.

yeah i agree. i'm just old fashioned siguro lol. i still believe that people should learn how to drive m/t, because m/t drivers can drive an a/t but a/t drivers cant drive a m/t. but i guess it's not applicable anymore because probably in 5-10 years time, wala nang bnew m/t vehicles in the market.

I agree, kita mo kahit sports cars and super cars, automatic na with manual option lang. Pero bihira na yung stick shift talaga.
