Would you rent a Chrysler 300C for $250 a day?

Limousines.ph

There's a new limousine service in town and it offers the Chrysler 300C and the Chevrolet Suburban to clients. Called Limousines.ph, the company entices potential customers to "go and arrive in style" while promising "comfort, luxury and safety." Customers can simply go to its website and fill up an online reservation form.

The rates? The 300C is available for $250 per day within Metro Manila and $375 per day outside of Metro Manila. The Suburban, on the other hand, is available for $450 per day within Metro Manila and $650 per day outside of Metro Manila. The daily rate includes eight hours of use and a dedicated chauffeur. It isn't indicated on the website whether the cars can be rented without a driver. Fuel and toll fees are to be shouldered by customers.

Since the rates are quoted in US dollars, it is obvious that the company's target clients are foreigners. But just out of curiosity, would you pay this much for a 300C or Suburban limo service? Well, if you rent the Suburban, at least you could pretend to be the Chief Justice for a day.

Thats like 10,000 a day for a 300c. i thought they would shoulder the fuel, i think its not priced reasonably

    NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! in your dreams.

That rate is actually not so bad. You can rent an Innova or an Altis in good shape for between a third to half of that price. And it usually doesn't matter if you rent with a driver or not - most decent car rentals charge the same amount either way. Gas and toll fees are always shouldered by the customer.

If it's a special Occasion like a wedding or an anniversary or even a reunion then why not the and the price is quite reasonable.

Nope. If I'm a foreigner and I have a lot of money, why not.

Medyo pricey... for comparison, a stretched limo in Las Vegas costs $70 per hour and that includes a lot of freebies (wala pang traffic consideration).

$70 * 8 hours is $560. That's more than twice the cost of the 300C's daily rate.

I know my math. My comment wasn't based on price alone. I noted that the rate was for a better car in a country with higher income in a place where people go to spend money. Manila's 300C at half the price just doesn't cut it for me.

id like to try it, even it will blew me up just because of the cost of it, it's quite a good catch though, the suburban would be a great catch...

It'll be much better if the "per day" clause means for at least 20 hours. I'm willing to give it a shot if they will give it at 5k for 8-hour rental.

    trail is right.

For those that are saying this is too pricey, you have to know first what you are comparing it against in order for you to call it pricey.

He is also saying a fact that you can rent an Innova for 3k to 5k for a day, excluding toll, gas and even meals of the chauffer/driver given you. Now, how much is the Innova? It's about a third of the price of the 300c. So I say you are actually getting a good deal considering that you are not meant to be leasing this on a daily basis as a regular customer anyway. Unless of course you just want to burn through your cash by renting one when you can actually buy one.

This is not a "pang-masa" service, but this is not being elitist as well. This just gives the middle class access to said vehicle during specific occassions that they deem such a transaction a necessary expenditure.

    Cheers!
