CHEVROLET PHILIPPINES HOPES TO BRING IN TRAILBLAZER WITHIN THE YEAR

When Chevrolet starts selling the new Trailblazer in Thailand in June, the wait won't be too long for the Philippine car market. Chevrolet marketing director Lyn Buena said the Covenant Car Company, Inc., which distributes Chevy vehicles in the Philippines, is hoping to bring in the SUV in the second semester.

The Trailblazer was just unveiled in Thailand and it will be on public display at the Bangkok International Motor Show.

According to Chevrolet, the new Trailblazer will be available in two- and four-wheel-drive configurations. Engine comes in 2.5- and 2.8-liter variants, and it offers as much as 180hp and 470Nm of torque.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines announces Fuzion recall

Did you buy a Mitsubishi Fuzion between June 2007 and February 2012? It may be affected by a special safety recall announced by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) due to a potential failure of its steering-column intermediate shaft. MMPC said that while no such failure has been reported, it was directed by its principal, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Japan, to conduct the safety recall on 2,137 units of the Fuzion multipurpose vehicle.

Toyota rolls out updated Land Cruiser 200

Toyota Motor Philippines has launched the new Land Cruiser 200 with a fresh look for 2012 buyers. Giving the 2012 Land Cruiser a boost in the looks department include a new front grille, new daytime running lights and new fog lamps. The SUV also has new 18-inch alloy wheels that runs with the Land Cruiser's 4.5-liter V8 engine and its six-speed super electronic-control transmission system.
