Overview

The BAIC Freedom is the Chinese brand's mini pickup truck. It's available in single and double cab. Styling is basic and straightforward. Although it has a cab-forward layout with a short hood, the engine is mid-mounted below the front seats. 

Unlike most pickups, this pint size truck uses a unibody layout. Up front it has an independent MacPherson strut layout, at the back it has a live axle with leaf springs.

Powering the Freedom trucks is a 1.4-liter inline-4 gasoline engine which produces 94hp and 115Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
