The BMW 2-series Gran Coupe is the German carmaker's first ever true-compact 4-door coupe. It blends the sleek styling of the larger Gran Coupe models and blends it with the smaller footprint of a 1-series, which it shares its platform with. The 2-series Gran Coupe features a low semi-fastback roofline, this gives it a sportier look. Its front end is reminiscent of its hatchback sibling, but a slightly lower and wider grille gives it a more aggressive look. It has sculpted sides and the trademark "Gran Coupe" frameless doors. Its long slim taillights and low license plate recess recalls the tail design of the 8-series. Inside, it shares the same driver-oriented high-tech interior as the 1-series. One engine is offered in the Philippine market; a 1.5-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline-3 gasoline mill which produces 138hp and 220Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a seven-speed Steptronic dual-clutch gearbox.
