Meet the 8th generation of BMW's 5-series sedan. Although it has that familiar BMW-family look, the Bavarian carmaker has given it a sleeker design, with more pronounced creases, a larger bolder grille, and wide slim headlights for that modern more athletic look. Inside it features a high tech driver oriented dashboard that blends traditional and modern styling cues.
Two TwinPower turbodiesel engines are offered for the standard 5-series in the Philippine market, a 2.0-liter inline-4 mill which produces 190hp and 400Nm of torque and a more powerful 3.0-liter straight-6 unit which makes 265hp and 620Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The New M5 can sprint from 0-100km/h in only 3.4 seconds.
Sitting at the top of the 5-series range is the M5, this is the ultimate high-performance BMW sedan. Under its hood is a fire-breathing V8 with two twin-scroll turbochargers, it pumps out 591hp (600PS) and 750Nm of torque. This motor is paired to an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. The M-specific all-wheel-drive "M xDrive" system comes as standard.
