The CS35 Plus is Changan's subcompact SUV. It features a boxy profile with prominent wheel arches to give the small sports utility vehicle a rugged look. For 2022, it gets a bolder front-end design which features a large trapezoidal grille flanked by slimmer headlights. At the rear, it gets thinner taillights with new graphics. Inside it features a revised European-inspired horizontal dashboard design with a large integrated 10-inch infotainment touchscreen which is aligned to the instrument cluster. 

In terms of safety, the Changan CS35 Plus comes with a host of safety features that include front and side airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, blind-spot monitoring (right side), and speed sensing auto door locks. The Hype and Luxe variants get additional safety features like side curtain airbags, 360 view camera, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking.

Under the CS35 Plus’s hood is a 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline mill which now puts out 158hp and 260Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a seven-speed (wet type) dual-clutch transmission.
