The Ford Mustang has a long history that spans over fifty years, most of which was spent mainly in North America and a few select markets. In 2012, the iconic pony was finally officially launched in the Philippines. In 2015 Ford Philippines finally launched the current gen S550 Mustang. This all-new Ford Mustang was a giant leap ahead of its predecessors in styling, engineering and on-board technology, it was also the first global Ford Mustang. For 2018 it has been further improved and refined into a sharper, more advance sports car while still retaining its pony car DNA. Joining the now familiar Fastback Coupe models is the GT Convertible.Like before two powerplants are offered, an updated 2.3-liter EcoBoost which makes 310hp and 475Nm of torque (up by 41Nm) and a revised 5.0 Ti-VCT V8 which now features direct fuel injection and port fuel injection, it puts out an even more impressive 460 horsepower and 569Nm of torque (up by 25hp and 27Nm). Both powerplants are mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. Shelby GT500Sitting at the top of the Mustang lineup is the new Shelby GT500. This beast packs a 5.2-liter Supercharged V8 which puts out 760hp and 847Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed Tremec dual-clutch transmission.
