All-new for 2022, the second generation Honda HR-V adopts the Japanese carmaker's new design language. It features a more elegant profile with a longer more horizontal hood, and a slightly more upright windshield. Up front it features a large upright grille flanked by slim full LED headlights. Moving on to the side, it gets smooth flowing lines for a cleaner appearance. At the rear, it gets stylish slim LED taillights linked together by an LED light bar. Inside, it gets a contemporary euro-inspired dashboard with a horizontal layout and a tablet-style infotainment touchscreen.

The Japanese carmaker's "Honda SENSING" suite of safety and driver-assist technologies come as standard on the all-new HR-V.

Two engines are offered in the all-new HR-V, a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC inline-4 gasoline mill which puts out 119hp and 145Nm of torque (S variant), and a turbocharged 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo gasoline unit which produces 175hp and 240Nm of torque (V Turbo variant). Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable transmission is standard on both variants.
