The Ioniq 5 mid-size crossover is the first model in Hyundai's new range of Ioniq BEV (battery electric vehicle). Its retro-futuristic boxy styling was inspired by the 1970s Hyundai Pony, the Korean carmaker's first production car. Up front, it has a clamshell hood and a smooth grille less face. It comes with unique looking rectangular pixelated DRLs. Its body sides feature the brand's "Parametric Dynamics" creased design. Flush door handles give it a neat surface and improves aerodynamics. At the rear, the taillights continue the pixelated theme of the front units. Inside it features a Euro-inspired dashboard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster positioned alongside the central 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Two variants are offered in the Philippines, the electric motor of the Short Range 2WD variant (58kWh battery) produces 168hp and 350Nm of torque, the unit in the Long Range 2WD variant (72.6kWh battery) puts out 214hp and 350Nm of torque.
