Overview
The 2019 Lexus UX is the Japanese luxury brand's smallest SUV model. This hatchback type SUV slots below the larger more wagon-like NX. While its sleek low-slung might be new, its sharp styling is instantly recognizable as a Lexus and closely resembles its larger siblings. The same can be said about its premium looking interior.
For 2023, all variants of the UX come standard with 2.0-liter M20A-FXS gasoline mill which is paired to an electric motor. The total system power is 181hp. Power is sent to the front wheels through a Direct-Shift continuously variable transmission.
The Lexus UX is built on the new GA-C global architecture platform which features an extensive use of high-tensile steel, high-strength adhesives and laser screw welding. Up front it has independent MacPherson strut suspension, at the rear it has an independent multi-link set up.
