Overview
The Maxus T60 is the Chinese auto manufacturer's entry into the local diesel pickup segment. Designed to go head to head with the established American and Japanese trucks. Up front it features a large bold vertical slat grille, on the sides it has bulging muscular wheel arches. Inside, the designers opted for a minimalist approach with a near symetrical design. All variants get an infotainment system with a touch screen and Apple Carplay.
Under the Maxus T60's hood is a 2.8-liter oil-burner which produces 148hp and 360Nm of torque. 4x2 models can be had with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed auto tranny, the 4x4 variant is only offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Like other pickups in this segment, the T60 uses a ladder frame and features a double wishbone suspension up front and a live axle with leaf springs at the rear. What's not common is the standard 4-wheel disc brakes across the board.
