The F55, this the 3rd generation of the Modern MINIs. While styling may look familiar, the 3-door hatchback has evolved into a slightly larger more refined car but without losing it's sharp go-kart like handling MINIs are known for.
Three engines are offered in the local market, a 134hp turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-3 for the Cooper variant, a 192hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 for the Cooper S variant, and a 228hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 for the high-performance John Cooper Works variant. A 7-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard on the refreshed Cooper and Cooper S variants, while the range topping JCW gets an 8-speed automatic tranny.Paddy Hopkirk EditionNew for 2021, the Paddy Hopkirk Edition is based on the 192hp Cooper S variant. Paddy Hopkirk's "37" racing number is displayed on the doors (His name and racing number also appear on the C-pillars). The offset hood racing stripe features Paddy Hopkirk's signature and "33 EJB", the latter is the 1964 winning Mini's license plate. Hopkirk's signature also appears on the dashboard, door sills, and liftgate.
