Meet the Xpander, Mitsubishi's entry into the growing small MPV segment. It can seat seven, it's versatile, and has looks that will turn heads thanks to its sharp Montero Sport-influenced styling. Inside it features a simple and modern dashboard with its infotainment system prominently displayed high at the center. On the safety front, all variants come with dual-airbags and ABS with EBD as standard. The range-topping model gets additional safety kit like electronic stability control, traction control, and hill start assist.
Under its hood is a 1.5-liter 4A91 MIVEC gasoline mill which produces 103 HP and 141 NM of torque, this can be paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission (base GLX) or a 4-speed automatic tranny. For 2020 the Xpander Cross joined the MPV lineup. It features larger wheels and a raised suspension that gives it a 225mm ground clearnce. Rugged SUV-inspired cladding and beefy roof rails complete the look. This was followed by the minor refresh of the standard Xpander variants which get restyled alloy wheels, LED headlights, and a new grille.
