The Leaf is Nissan's compact EV hatchback. Its local introduction marks the Japanese brand's entry into the Philippine EV segment. Unlike the futuristic first gen model, the new Leaf has a more contemporary design that is in line with other new Nissan vehicles. For 2023, the Leaf gets a few updates, this includes a black V-motion faux grille, new predominantly dark two tone wheels, and the new Nissan logo.Powering the Leaf is a front mounted electric motor that produces 148hp and 320Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the front wheels through a Single-Speed Reduction Gear Transmission. The Leaf can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, it has a range of 311km on a full charge. Charging to full using a home outlet can take around 15 to 18 hours, while the charging time using the dedicated charging stations at dealerships can take only 40 to 60 minutes.
