The Nissan Sylphy replaced the aging Sentra. Its styling is reminicent of the larger Altima sedan. Sitting on the larger end of the compact segment, its legroom can almost rival that of larger executive sedans from other manufacturers.
There are two gasoline engines available, a 114hp 1.6-liter inline-4 mill and a 129hp 1.8-liter inline-4 motor. The smaller powerplant can be paired to either a manual transmission or Nissan's Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission, the larger unit can only be had with the Xtronic CVT.
