After over a decade Peugeot finally re-enters the local C-segment with the new 308 hatchback and 308 Station wagon. Both are unmistakably french, with smooth and elegant lines with a dose of quirky details particularly inside.
Two powerplants are available for the regular 308 range, a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 150hp and 240Nm of torque (hatch only) and a 1.6-liter diesel which produces 120hp and 300Nm of torque (hatch and station wagon). The regular 308 models sold here come standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
GT models come with quilted leather seats with red contrast stitching, a sports leather-wrapped steering wheel also with red contrast stitching, and sporty 18 inch wheels.
The high-performance hot-hatch GTI 1.6 THP 270 can also be ordered, it's powered by a tuned 1.6-liter turbocharged mill which produces 266hp and 330Nm of torque. Rejoice driving enthusiasts! This one comes with a proper 6-speed manual transmission.
