Overview
This is the latest version of the Suzuki Jimny. Now on its fourth generation, the little Japanese off-roader is as popular as ever among enthusiasts. The previous gen model went the rounded route, the new Jimny returns to the boxier styling of the earlier generations but with a modern twist. Inside the same rugged theme continues, like the exterior it also borrows styling elements from earlier generations. Sitting at the center of the dashboard is a very modern looking 9-inch touchscreen; on GLX variants it also displays the clinometer, compass, altimeter and barometer, features useful for off-roading.
Powering the all-new Suzuki Jimny is a larger 1.5-liter K15B inline-4 gasoline mill which produces 100hp and 130Nm of torque. This motor can be mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic tranny. Four-wheel drive with a low range transfer gear comes as standard.
Like before, the new Jimny features a ladder frame, and front & rear live axle suspension with coil springs.
On the safety side of things, all variants now come with dual-airbags and ABS.
Two-tone paint is available on the range-topping GLX for an additional P10,000.
