Overview
Meet the Suzuki S-Presso, the Japanese carmaker's new baby crossover hatch. It's built on the brand's new generation Heartect Platform. Measuring 3565mm x 1520mm x 1549mm, it's 170mm longer, 30mm wider, and 74mm taller than the entry-level Alto 800 it replaces in the local lineup. The S-Presso sports a boxier SUV-inspired profile that gives the pint-size tall hatchback some pressence. Up front it has a faux upper grille reminicent of the one found on the Jimny. From mid-2022, the 1.0 GL M/T with alloy wheels beccomes the standard variant. New for 2023 is the 1.0 GL AGS variant.
Inside it features a high seating position for that commanding view. Its dashbaord has a near-symmetrical design with its centrally-mounted digital gauge cluster positioned above the infotainment system's touchscreen.
Under its hood of the latest S-Presso is the new 1.0-liter K10C inline-3 gasoline mill which features VVT and EASS (Engine Auto Stop Start system). The new powerplant puts out 66hp and 89Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels either through a five-speed manual transmission or an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) automated manual tranny.
SPECIAL EDITION
In late 2021, Suzuki Philippines launched the Special Edition variant. To set it apart from the regular S-Presso, it gains black side cladding, wheel arch cladding, and lower bumper cladding. The alloy wheels and rear spoiler give it a sporty touch. Inside, it gains some silver accents to compliment the predominantly black interior.
