The Raize is Toyota's entry-level 2-row subcompact SUV. The Japanese carmaker's new baby sports utility vehicle rides on an all-new DNGA platform developed with its subsidiary, Daihatsu. The 4-meter-long Raize sports a tall 2-box profile that optimizes interior space and cargo space within its small footprint. The front is dominated by a large low-mounted version of the brand's trapezoidal grille. While it has its own unique styling cues, it follows the same general design language as other small Toyota models. Two gasoline engines are offered in the Philippine-market Raize; a naturally aspirated 1.2-liter inline-3 mill which produces 87hp and 113Nm of torque, and a 1.0-liter turbocharged inline-3 powerplant which puts out 97hp and 140Nm of torque. The 1.2L engine can be mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT, the boosted engine is exclusively paired to a CVT. All Philippine-spec Raize variants are front-wheel drive. The range-topping 1.0 Turbo CVT variant is available with two-tone paint (with a black roof) and monotone paint (White Pearl) options. The White Pearl SE/ Black color costs an extra P5,000.
