Toyota's subcompact hatchback, the Yaris, gets a makeover for 2018. It receives sharper styling which is now more closely aligned to that of the larger Corolla Altis. While the general body styling is evolutionary, the more obvious changes are with the front and rear ends. For 2021, the Yaris receives restyled headlights and a larger more aggressive trapezoidal lower grille. The largely carried over rear continues with slim long taillights similar to what you would find on other new larger models from the Japanese carmaker. Inside the dashboard is unchanged but its updated infotainment system is now Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-compatible.Powering the new Yaris are Toyota's familiar inline-4 gasoline engines, the 98hp 1.3-liter Dual VVT-i motor and the more powerful 106hp 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i mill. Both powerplants are mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission)
