Toyota's subcompact hatchback, the Yaris, gets a makeover for 2018. It receives sharper styling which is now more closely aligned to that of the larger Corolla Altis. While the general body styling is evolutionary, the more obvious changes are with the front and rear ends. Its face gets a slim grille flanked by streamlined headlights. It also receives a larger more aggressive lower grille. The rear is dominated by slim long taillights similar to what you would find on other new larger models from the Japanese carmaker. Inside the dashboard was made sleeker with a more integrated center-stack.
Powering the new Yaris are Toyota's familiar inline-4 gasoline engines, the 98hp 1.3-liter Dual VVT-i motor and the more powerful 106hp 1.5-liter Dual VVT-i mill. The smaller displacement engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT (continuously variable transmission), the larger motor on the other hand is exclusively paired to the CVT.
