Overview
The XC40 is the Volvo's first ever compact premium SUV. While easily recognizable as a Volvo, the Swedish carmaker's designers gave the small sports utility vehicle its own flavor. Some of its distinctive features are its boxy profile, clamshell hood, unique rear window shape and the seam on the C-pillars which allows it to have a contrasting roof color on some variants. Its interior is pure Volvo; it features a digital instrument cluster and the brand's trademark vertical touchscreen flanked by narrow tall central AC vents.
The Volvo XC40 in the Philippine market is offered with a turbocharged 2.0-liter mild-hybrid gasoline mill (B5) which puts out 249hp and 350Nm of torque. This powerplant is mated to an eight-speed Geartronic automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard.
