Hi, Botchi. I would just like to know if the Suzuki Celerio is worth owning? My husband is very impressed with this car and is planning to buy me one. Please enlighten us. Thanks!
Hello, Rhodora. Thank you for your e-mail. Regarding the Suzuki Celerio, it is hard to objectively determine if a car is worth owning because car ownership in itself is highly subjective. I myself own a project car, which hasn't run properly in the last five years, but I want to keep it nonetheless (much to my wife's dismay) because I really love this car.
Your next car should have a similar emotional pull or attraction to you. A car's affordability, impressive performance or room space aren't reasons enough for you to buy it. You should really like the car because that will really help in the long run, helping to determine whether you will be fully and completely satisfied with it. More important, really liking the car will make you want to keep it despite the problems you might have with it in the future.
I haven't extensively driven the Suzuki Celerio so I can't really say--objectively speaking, at least--how it stacks up against its competitors: namely, the Kia Picanto, a small car that I am very impressed with, and the Mitsubishi Mirage, another impressive car that you should consider before deciding on which car to buy. Both the Picanto and the Mirage offer more car features, options, equipment and engineering than the Celerio.
I hope this e-mail helps you out. Take care, God bless, and good luck!
