It was an action-packed race at the Clark International Speedway last weekend, and as far as being a spectacle goes, the fifth season of the biggest racing series in the Philippines won’t disappoint. The race is so tough, it even took its toll on some of the rookie drivers. Being inside of a race car on a hot day at the track is no joke.
“The success of this one-make series the past four years continues to inspire us in further spreading the Waku Doki spirit in the local racing scene,” says Toyota Motor Philippines president Satoru Suzuki. “And this year, motorsports fans and car enthusiasts can expect an even higher level of excitement. We are very much delighted to invite everyone to come and experience this heart- pounding thrill of car racing at the Vios Cup.”
A total of 53 drivers are racing in this season, divided into three categories: Super Sporting Class, Sporting Class and Promotional Class. The celebrities are Sam Milby, Diego Loyzaga, Sofia Andres, Chie Filomeno, Fabio Ide, Aubrey Miles, and Troy Montero. Here’s our gallery of what transpired last weekend.
