The 2017 Tokyo Motor Show was a preview of bigger things to come

The future is in good hands

It's only been roughly two weeks since we headed to Japan for the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, but here we are sitting in our office chairs, eagerly anticipating the next one already.

How can we not? Most of this year's event revolved around what's in store for the automotive industry's immediate future. We're talking electric cars, driverless technology, and a ton of drool-worthy concepts waiting to make in onto the production line. This year's theme was "Beyond the Motor," and boy did the event live up to it.

Some of the highlights included Honda's retro electric sports car, the Mazda Kai Concept, the Mitsubishi e-Evolution Concept, the Nissan IMx crossover concept, and a bunch of new Toyota Gazoo Racing creations. There was definitely something for everyone at this year's show. Plenty of what we saw is expected to move forward just in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, so it should give you guys somewhat of an idea of what to expect when the next Tokyo Motor Show takes place in 2019.
