“I really like my morning commute,” said practically no driver ever. Unless you live near an empty, pristine stretch of wide-open asphalt (and if you do, let’s please trade jobs), the morning rush hour is always a stressful slog through packed roads.

It may seem like you’re protected from the brunt of city pollution and the scorching heat with your air-conditioned car, but that’s not actually the case. Research from the King’s College London has found out that pollution could actually be worse inside your car. In fact, levels of nitrogen oxide inside a car were 21% higher compared to outside, a follow-up survey found—mostly from diesel exhaust fumes. Pollution particles can clog your pores, causing breakouts and causing your skin to age.
You don’t look as fresh and energized as you should be.
All those things—the pressure, the inactivity, the early hours, the sun and pollution—add up to one very haggard-looking you. Rumpled shirt, messy hair, haggard face...it’s definitely not you at your best.
