Jenson Button’s old Ford Bronco is currently up for auction, which means you—yes, you—have the opportunity to purchase a classic off-roader once driven by a Formula 1 world champion.
And not just any old Ford Bronco, but one that’s been very tastefully modified.
We turn first to the engine, where the 5.0-liter V8 (a 302ci) features better fuel-injection courtesy of Fitech, something called an ‘Edelbrock’ filter, and an MSD ignition kit with push-button start. There’s a better battery and cut-off switch, while the suspension has been tweaked, too—it’s now higher, with Bilstein shocks all around. Rounding out the mechanical upgrades are a set of embiggened Wilwood front discs.
All in, some tasteful upgrades that sit underneath that delightful dark-blue paint job with red accents and gloss-black wheel-arch extensions, the latter housing 17-inch ‘Method’ alloys and massive 35-inch tires.

The headlights are also better, and sit atop a neat pair of KC lamps, and once inside, you’ll notice just how clean and spartan—and therefore quite excellent—Button has kept it. A new cream leather hide shrouds the ‘period-correct’ seats, while there’s a new power-steering rack, a new steering column, and even a Kenwood stereo.
Clearly, this is a car best suited to places with good weather all year long. Or it could be a car for any place, if you’re...let’s say ‘committed.’
“This is an eye-catching custom truck that would make a superb weekend cruiser or beach car,” explains auction hosts Collecting Cars.
