Damian ‘Dame Dolla’ Lillard was easily one of the highlights of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Orlando bubble. The Portland Trailblazer was straight up on fire when the league resumed play in July, hitting long-range bombs left and right and carrying his team to an unlikely playoff berth.
Sadly for fans, Lillard and the Trailblazers were promptly dispatched by an Anthony Davis- and LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers squad after the All-Star injured his right knee (which thankfully turned out to be a mild strain) and failed to return to the series.
So, Cancun on three? Not exactly. It appears the hot-shooting point guard has been keeping busy during his downtime following the Trailblazers’ Cinderella run, opening Damian Lillard Toyota. Yep, Dame Dolla now has his very own car dealership in Oregon. Look:
“Excited to announce the opening of @damianlillardtoyota in McMinnville, OR. I’m launching this dealership in partnership with Brian Sanders and his family,” Lillard shared on Instagram.
“They are PNW natives, and I consider B a personal friend. We’re looking forward to serving you and your family’s automotive needs!”
Lillard says his establishment is “not your normal Toyota dealership,” and it shows. Its logo features a basketball, and some of Lillard’s signature shoes are also displayed inside a glass case.
Lillard, in a celebratory mood, also promptly bought all of his dealership’s staff brand-new Dame 6 basketball shoes and customized Adidas polo shirts. Check it out:
“Hookin’ our amazing employees up with Dame 6 Adidas and custom branded Adidas polo shirts. Not a bad work uniform, right?” the official Damian Lillard Toyota Instagram profile posted.
The Dame 6 retails for about $110 (P5,300) a pair in the US, so it’s safe to assume that Lillard must have easily dropped a couple thousand dollars on hooking his personnel up. Do you agree that this look makes for a good dealership uniform? Sound off in the comments.
