Are you a graphic artist? A Fine Arts student perhaps? Or simply a car enthusiast with impressive artistic skills? Then we challenge you to "Design the Top Gear Race Spark." We are launching a design contest in celebration of Chevrolet's 100th anniversary this month. What we're asking participants to do is create the livery of a racing Spark if Top Gear had a racing team and the Chevrolet Spark were the car. In essence then, the design brief is: WHAT WOULD A TOP GEAR RACING SPARK LOOK LIKE?
All you need to do is go to the official page of the contest found here. Then carefully read the mechanics.
"Design the Top Gear Race Spark" is brought to you by Top Gear Philippines and Chevrolet Philippines, in partnership with Castrol Philippines, Concept One, SpeedLab, H&R and Icon Graphics.
To encourage you to join, we wish to inform you that the top winning design will be applied to an actual racing Spark, which will be displayed at various mall tours. Of course, that's on top of the other fantastic prizes.
Winners will be determined by judging and online voting. Making up the panel of judges are visual artist and sculptor Reg Yuson; Top Gear Philippines art director Jaykee Evangelista; Manila Times motoring editor and art director Brian Afuang; and Chevrolet regional officer Martin Apfel.
Materials for the design contest are available for download from November 11 to December 8, 2011. Period of entry submission is from November 14 to December 5, 2011. Online voting is from December 6 to 15, 2011.
And to inspire you even more, we want you to watch the video below. The modified Spark in the video is the very same Spark that will wear the winning livery design. Good luck!
